Excessive dirt on your car is unsightly. It will also cause considerable damage to the paint.

Buying a car is a huge investment, especially if you’ve been approved for financing and are paying it off. If you want it to look good for a long time, wash your investment on a routine basis.

Washing your car protects it from damage caused by dirt, grime, salt, bird droppings, tree sap, and more. If left on your car for too long, these things will eat away at the paint and expose the metal underneath. When the metal becomes exposed, rust settles in and can destroy the body. Rust is an expensive repair that can be avoided.

A good coat of wax will protect the car’s paint as well. It adds a protective layer that prevents dirt and other debris from sticking to the paint. It also blocks harmful UV rays that cause paint to fade.

In addition to protecting the paint on your vehicle, regular car washes keep the windows clean and increase safety for you and others while driving. Would you drive your car with the windows covered with frost or snow? In the same vein of thought, it’s not safe to drive with dirt, bugs, leaves, and debris covering the windows.

At some point, you will want to trade your vehicle in for a newer model. There’s another great reason to keep it washed. The appearance of paint is a factor on trade-in value. The dealer will probably assume that if you couldn’t be bothered to wash your vehicle, then there are probably other things wrong with it, including a lack of routine maintenance which will result in mechanical issues.

Are you ready to bring in your vehicle for a trade-in with us? Give it a good wash and polish and vacuum and bring it in to Fiesta Motors of Lubbock and see what we can deal for you. Check out our amazing inventory, take a test drive, and let’s chat.
