One of the most exciting moments of a teen's life is getting their driver’s license and then getting their first car.

As a parent or guardian it can also be a trying time when they want the newest and most expensive car on the lot. You want them in something affordable, not too flashy.

Going the used car route is a great idea. This is especially true for first-time drivers.

At Fiesta Motors of Lubbock, one of our most popular brands in our quality used inventory is Chevrolet. One model we have well-stocked is the Chevrolet Aveo. Our great selection ranges from 2004 to 2010, but our inventory constantly changes, so bookmark our used inventory page and check in often.

The Aveo is a sedan is powered by a 1.6-liter engine that pushes out 103hp, which is a comfortable amount of power for those first few years behind the wheel. It comes in both standard and automatic.

The Aveo doesn’t have Bluetooth capabilities or touch screens, but there is still a standard sound system with a CD player. More recent models likely have an AUX plug which teens can connect to their iPod; other models have a cassette player.

Teens probably don’t buy cassettes these days, but with a special blank tape they can connect to their iPods.

Aveos also have spacious trunks and good cargo space when the seats are folded down. When the kids head to college they can easily pack all their belongings.

When you're ready to start the car search with your teen, come down to one of our two buy-here pay-here dealerships. We look forward to making sure both parties are satisfied. Come in for a test drive, make your pick, and we’ll even arrange in-house financing.
