Buick's Big Year Sees Over 1 Million Vehicles Sold

Buick just celebrated its most successful year, selling more than 1 million units in 2013.

Our Fiesta Motors of Lubbock dealerships have an excellent used inventory of quality Buick models. Naturally, we were pretty pleased to hear about the manufacturer's great sales year.

Delivering more than 1 million vehicles in the US, Canada, Mexico and China, 2013 marked the best sales year in Buick's storied 110-year history, edging out the previous record that was set all the way back in 1984—30 years ago

Growth in both China and the North American market contributed to the successful year. China experienced a 15.4 percent sales increase over 2012's numbers, while the US market grew by 13.9 percent. Canada saw almost 10 percent of growth in Buick sales.

One interesting fact is the amount of new Buick customers. The manufacturer reported that 42 percent of US buyers were brand new to Buick and General Motors. It would appear the brand's line of vehicles throughout the past few years is becoming one of the most attractive offers out there.

As far as what types of Buicks people bought in 2013, crossovers and sedans seemed to be the most popular. The eight-passenger Enclave saw its best year sales-wise in the US, growing 6.5 percent in the North American market.

Serving Levelland, Plainview, Lamesa and Brownfield, Fiesta Motors of Lubbock’s staff is happy to show you our used Buick models that certainly contributed to the manufacturer's successful year.
